My friends at Broadscope Media have been producing video for years for a client who is the biggest company in the world in its field and every so often they bring me along to add still images to the mix. The client has facilities all over the globe and sometimes logistics are tough, especially when traveling to remote areas with limited time, so it becomes more efficient to take the company jet.
Right before one such trip out west I had just bought a new-to-me Fujifilm mirrorless camera from KEH to carry with me while traveling. The Canon rig I use for work is too big to be convenient for personal trips and the Fuji is small enough to fit in my backpack. The work I shoot for these guys is cloaked in an NDA but I brought that little Fuji and had a blast putting it through its paces behind-the-scenes. With its rangefinder style and “no chimping” back screen it reminded me of my Konica Hexar RF from back in film days, one of the funnest cameras I ever had. The Fuji color science is amazing, and how fortuitous that I took delivery of it just before heading to the airfield for this cool trip!
